This weekend is Homecoming and the campus will be busy with reunions, concerts and, of course, football.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Friday on the Campus Commons—we’ve moved the event from Worth Hills Village due to recent rains—with family-friendly fun, food and free concerts by both the Josh Weathers Band and Walk the Moon.
The fireworks show has been canceled and all roads will be open to vehicles. Please visit alumni.tcu.edu for up-to-date details regarding Homecoming activities.
Saturday the Horned Frogs take on the University of Oklahoma Sooners. Game time is 11 a.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
There will be fireworks presentations during the performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, after each touchdown and after a game win.
If you plan to attend the game, only the following items are permitted within Amon G. Carter Stadium:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
- One unopened bottle of water
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap with one of the clear plastic bags
Exceptions will be granted for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the stadium gates. Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags are not permitted.
Please visit gameday.gofrogs.com for tailgating and parking information.
