Thursday at The Carter
The Horned Frogs return to Amon G. Carter Stadium Oct. 11 to host the Texas Tech University Red Raiders. Game time is 6:30 p.m., and TCU parking lots will open three hours before kickoff and remain open for up to 90 minutes after the game.
If you plan to attend the game, only the following items are permitted within Amon G. Carter Stadium:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
- One unopened bottle of water
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap with one of the clear plastic bags
Exceptions will be granted for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the stadium gates. Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags are not permitted.
Sticking to the sidewalk
The Unbound Light Up the Dark 5K will be held on campus Oct. 13. The race, which begins at 2 p.m. and is expected to culminate by 10 p.m., starts and ends on the Campus Commons, and follows the sidewalks along University Drive, Stadium Drive and W. Cantey Street.
There will be increased traffic on campus, but we do not anticipate overflow into neighborhoods. Should you have any questions, please contact TCU Police at 817-257-7777.
This year’s Homecoming weekend takes place Oct. 19-21 and will feature reunions, concerts and, of course, football. Join members of the Horned Frog family who return to campus to celebrate the spirit of TCU.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Friday in Worth Hills Village. You’ll enjoy family-friendly fun, food and free concerts by both the Josh Weathers Band and Walk the Moon. A small fireworks presentation is scheduled to begin at 7:55 p.m. Much of the west side of campus will be designated as pedestrian-only for the weekend.
