TCU’s first home football game of the season is Sept. 2, and TCU faces Jackson State University. Game time is 7 p.m. at Amon G. Carter Stadium. TCU parking lots will open five hours before kickoff and remain open for up to 90 minutes after the game.
Three privately owned planes will fly over the stadium just a few minutes before kickoff, and there will be fireworks presentations during the performance of the Star-Spangled Banner, after each touchdown and after a game win.
If you plan to attend the game, only the following items are permitted within Amon G. Carter Stadium:
- Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)
- One unopened bottle of water
- Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap with one of the clear plastic bags
Exceptions will be granted for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the stadium gates. Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags are not permitted.
